Mitchell McIntyre
Director
Mitchell started in financial markets at the age of 19 after his dad introduced him to the prospect of trading on the stock market, and quickly became fascinated.
Originally from Wagga Wagga in New South Wales, Mitch worked as a stockbroker at Commonwealth Securities in Sydney, soon setting his sights on trading as a career.
A job in Auckland followed at HiFX (now XE.com) where he honed his skills as a private client dealer, and it was during this time Mitch’s meticulous analytical skills were recognised. A side role in trading was established, a venture that proved to be lucrative, with Mitch quickly promoted as the company’s designated spot-trader on the Treasury Risk Management desk.
A move back home to Australia saw Mitch spend three years trading in interest rate derivatives for a large proprietary trading firm, before returning to New Zealand to work as a senior corporate FX dealer at XE.com. Mitch’s persistence and intuitive understanding of the markets has allowed him to successfully gauge risk time and again, paying dividends for his clients, as has his desire to consistently develop his skills.
Now happily entrenched in the collaborative culture at Electus Financial, Mitch is passionate about providing excellent, efficient service to his clients. Humble to a fault, Mitch is the last person to boast of his golf handicap of 7.5. Mitch lives in Auckland with his fiancé and beloved Rottweiler.
